Sanitization stations for motorcycle taxis
Motorcycle taxis need sanitization points at their shades for themselves and their customers.
Motorcycle taxis in Kenya are now classified as remaining Media for covid19 infections. The riders are the first contact for travelers going in and out of the Rural villages.
Since every market in the target Makueni County has a waiting shade, this project seeks to provide each of existing 60 motorcycle taxis waiting shades with a digital thermometer to ascertain each customer’s temperature before ferrying.
The sanitization station shall also include handwashing dispensers and soaps. The biggest challenge is getting initial equipment but once set, the well organized riders are able to refill the water and soaps.
This initiative will not only reduce the chances of the virus getting in the rural community but also increase personal prevention responsibility and adherence to prescribed hygiene. Once the pandemic is over, the digital thermometers will be handed over to local community health facilities.

What we need help with
We need kshs. 20000, (usd 200) per station to equip each with a thermometer, water dispenser and one month supply of soap. Once a station is set, the riders, will facilitate refilling with our observations.
