Masy Consultants provide WASH project management and community engagement for impoverished Filipinio communities.
Masy Consultants provides project management, community engagement and consulting services to catalyse economic and social change in the water sector across the Philippines, responding to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation. We do this through collaborative partnerships, empowering communities to uplift themselves from rural poverty by creating platforms which activate knowledge-sharing, capacity-building and community engagement.
Currently, Masy Consultants is leading the Portfolio Delivery Services Partner (PDSP) Consortium, a strategic initiative in collaboration with Water.org and the Australian Water Association, to create scalable and sustainable impact in the space of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Additionally, we are working closely with the Australian embassy in the Philippines to achieve our desired outcomes. Furthermore, this consortium has received endorsements from the Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD) and the Philippine Water Works Association (PWWA). Implementation of the pilot program is scheduled for early-2021.
The pilot project for 2021 intends to upskill Young Water Professionals (YWPs) to respond to future chronic and acute WASH related issues. This particularly includes the role of poor WASH practices in exacerbating the spread of COVID-19 throughout the Philippines. We have a clear Project Management Plan (PMP) and timeline in place for executing this education initiative throughout 2021, being conducted via both digital and physical means. This will result in an expert roundtable discussion in Manila at the end of 2021, from which we intend to launch our medium to long term scalability plan. This includes focusing on COVID-19 and disease detection via water and sewerage systems, thus mitigating the spread of present and future public health crises. We are also considering other projects we can scale into.
In the next 3 years, we also intend to work with higher level agencies, including the PAWD and PWWA, in influencing meso and macro level WASH policies across the Philippines. Eventually, we intend to work closely with the Filipino government on bolstering WASH outcomes across country-wide Water Districts (WDs).

- Raising capital
What we need help with
We are currently in the process of raising capital for our pilot project for 2021. We are looking for grants, including from philanthropic and CSR funds. This is from both the public and private sector. Additionally, funding derived from quid quo pro partnerships is something we are interested in. To help us with this, we would like support with raising capital and bootstrapping. Additionally, exposure and growth hacking support would greatly assist us.
