Website / Documentation
Short description

Description

We make a brief summary of our organization and situation:- FUNDACION CARDIOVASCULAR DE COLOMBIA
We have an experience of over 37 years.

Since its creation, the Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia -FCV has been an entity dedicated to the provision of health and medical services specialized in cardiology and transplants, from there, evaluating the need that exists in Colombia to improve the quality of delivery. From the health service to the population, the FCV decides to develop the project of the International Hospital of Colombia, HIC, in order to increase the offer of health services and have a greater impact on society.

Since the creation of the HIC, services have begun to be provided in other specialties such as neurology, orthopedics, oncology, urology, nephrology, etc., which exponentially increased the social impact of FCV by providing services to a greater number of people. On the other hand, the objective for which we are currently working is to position the Hospital Internacional de Colombia as the main social project in Latin America aligned with health, research and education services. The International Hospital of Colombia – HIC is a medical complex considered the most important in Santander and northeast Colombia, as well as being one of the most recognized in the country and the most prominent in Latin America.
It is in category three of High Complexity and level four of Medical Care; at the national level, it ranks third as the Best Hospital in Colombia and sixth in Latin America, according to the ranking of the magazine América Economía 2019; This classifies it as the medical complex with one of the best models of patient experience, with a close relationship and a great sense of humanization.

In 2019, HIC received for the first time the international accreditation of the Joint Commission International – JCI with the recognition ‘Gold Seal of Approval ®’, a distinction that guarantees compliance with international standards for the provision of high quality and safety medical services. of the patient. In addition, it is made up of the already existing Cardiovascular Institute of the FCV – ICV, the first clinic of the Institution, launched since 1997, and the first in Colombia accredited as a hospital program by JCI with the ‘Gold Seal of Approval ®’ from the 2009, recognition that endorses the compliance of our Institution with international quality standards in medical care for patient care and the administration of health services.

FCV INVESTMENT IN HIC •
Objective: Since its inception, the FCV has been an entity dedicated to the provision of health services and specialized in cardiology and transplants, from there, evaluating the need in Colombia to improve the quality of service provision to the population in the health care sector. health, the FCV decides to develop the project of the International Hospital of Colombia, HIC, with the aim of increasing the offer of health services and having a greater impact on society by offering services to a greater number of people. On the other hand, the objective for which we are currently working is to establish the Hospital Internacional de Colombia as the main social project in Latin America aligned with health, research and education services. Summarizing the FCV – HIC, due to its complexity and social contribution to the community, reinvesting its profits in a greater coverage of health services, it requests donations for the completion of the HIC project.
Currently there are more than 2,400 collaborators.

Donations are necessary for:

1- The situation of the health sector in Colombia.
The Ministry of Health has made efforts to improve conditions in the health sector in terms of portfolio levels and liquidity, however, the problem persists.
The problem of the lack of liquidity in the health sector arose when the HIC was launched. For 2019, the entities’ collection cycle exceeds 180 days, which considerably deteriorates liquidity levels, the consequences of this situation are the inability to have resources to invest in equipment renovation, purchase of new technologies, and training , in general, 100% of its resources being used to fulfill the obligations acquired with the suppliers of goods and services and with financial creditors.

2- The appearance of the coronavirus. COVID-19 patients end up in critical care intensive care that requires ongoing monitoring, ongoing medical and nursing care, as well as highly specialized teams.
The weighted percentage of occupancy without the appearance of COVID-19 is 90%.For this reason, an increase is proposed in the Intensive Care Units, where we already have a built infrastructure, an accredited institution that is distinguished by compliance with international standards for the provision of high-quality services and trained medical personnel.
There is a physical infrastructure in excellent condition, which would beused for the equipment of the additional Intensive Care Units.
In addition, hospitals due to the coronavirus pandemic are making great efforts for their cash flow due to their low demand.

The Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia is located in Floridablanca, Santander, Colombia, South America and has a population that directly attends these hospitals: 4,057,978 inhabitants and especially cases of highly complex diseases.
It serves the population of all Colombia in the contributory regime, from the most remote regions with highly complex problems. (Low-income population, indigenous population)

Waiting for a favorable response, logically after all the analyzes and reviews made by you.
