The project aims to contribute towards the prevention of COVID-19 in 5 health zones Mbuji Mayi
The project aims to contribute towards the prevention of
COVID-19 in 5 health zones in Mbuji Mayi Town in Democratic Republic of Congo.
targeting an estimated 20,000 youths, men and women by
creating awareness, providing factual information on how
to prevent the COVID-19. Install 25 handwashing stations
equipped with soap and water. The project will enable
residents have accurate information about coronavirus
including where to get help in case they show any COVID19 symptoms. Additionally, support will be provided to residents by donating free face masks, installing public toilets in
10 zones and undertake community clean up to improve the sanitation situation.
What we need help with
Combat the spread of COVID-19 in 5 health Zone of Mbuji Mayi by improving hygiene through increased access to clean water and hand washing facilities, community engagement and awareness raising of the pandemic, its symptoms, the importance of hand-washing with soap, social distancing using a megaphone and training 70 women to sew 10,000 face masks.
