Food Resources for COVID-19 Rapid Response Action
The project is to enhance food distribution to landless Batwa in Nyabihu and Rubavu districts in Rwanda.
It represents an opportunity, particularly for the indigenous Pygmy Batwa who are landless
without food in these difficult times of the pandemic. The rapid response is to intervene for the lives of the starving children and old people. These had been living on begging and working for the neighbors to get a day food survival for their families. during these times, they cannot afford the COVID-19 strict measures of lockdown and no movement. It’s absurd to find them locked without food.

During a global economic slowdown, community livelihood are more acutely affected, with less developed economies and industries such as tourism, food service, and retail being hit hardest.
