Short description

We give stateless children access to education while producing future community leaders to develop community.

Alternative School give basic education to stateless children of Sabah in country of Malaysia and teaching life skill to sustain themselves. This schools aims to eradicate illiteracy among stateless children who cannot get access to formal education which lead them to be exploited as child labor. Currently living in that poverty cycle, this COVID-19 pandemic had just made it worse because their source of income have been cut off and they are not eligible to apply for aid. Alternative School have currently collecting food aid from around Malaysia to be distributed to the community. Through that, we have currently reach out to almost 100 household and impacted more than 1000 stateless people. We also develop community garden for long term food security in Semporna and Tawau while teaching them agricultural knowledge.

Therefore, Alternative School currently need USD 60,000 to pay school rent, utilities, teachers and management who are working on ground day and night. Without this fund, the school is force to stop and the community will remain marginalized.
